We are absolutely delighted to announce that Your Home Care have been rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), following our very first inspection in May this year.

During their inspection, the CQC found Your Home Care to be exceptionally caring, exceptionally well-led and exceptionally responsive, and good in the areas of safety and effectiveness.

The report also highlighted that:

• People’s independence improved significantly from the care provided. This was especially evident for people living with dementia.
• We used innovative methods to ensure that all people received information in a format they could understand to reduce the risk of discrimination.
• Staff were supported to develop their careers through extensive training programmes and completing externally recognised qualifications.
• People rarely complained about the care received; when they did, the provider acted quickly to ensure there was minimal impact on people and this was used for future learning and improvement.

We’re particularly pleased to achieve this rating after our first inspection by the CQC, having recently celebrated our second anniversary as an organisation. This is a rare achievement, and we are the only homecare provider in our area to achieve outstanding on our first inspection.

This rating also makes us the only outstanding provider in the Mansfield and Ashfield area, as well as putting us in the top 4% of domiciliary care providers in England.

Your Home Care was set up with the aim of raising standards of care in our community and becoming the number one care provider in our area. This significant milestone is just the start of our journey – and we’re now challenging ourselves to maintain the exceptional standards of care and management that the CQC has recognised in us.

Needless to say, all of our staff and management team are thrilled by this achievement and what it means both for our organisation and our community.
